Michelle Balog
400 Spear #212 is an original loft conversion in the heart of San Francisco’s trendy South Beach neighborhood. 400 Spear is a modern loft residence featuring original wood beams, a wall of exposed brick, west-facing loft windows, and a pitched ceiling with an exposed wood truss. This top floor bi-level loft comes complete with 2 bedrooms (1 enclosed) and 2 full bathrooms. The chef’s kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a new refrigerator, stove, and Bosch dishwasher. The large island overlooks the combination living/dining room. Designer upgrades include Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, new carpet and paint, a ceiling fan, upgraded light fixtures, an in-unit washer/ dryer and built-in closet systems. The first bedroom is enclosed with a door and features a large closet with built-ins and provides a privacy that is typically missing in loft spaces. The master mezzanine suite has a closet, skylight, and en-suite master bathroom. Located on the corner of Harrison and Spear at 400 Spear Street in South Beach, The Harbor Lofts is a loft conversion complex in one of San Francisco’s oldest warehouse buildings. Originally known as the Hathaway
Warehouse, this building was constructed in the 1850s and converted into 46 live/work lofts in 1996. Harbor Lofts has been well received by both the public and consumers and was awarded the Gold Nugget Award of Merit for Adaptive Reuse in 1997. The Harbor Lofts are ingeniously configured around a two-story courtyard lined with mature palm trees. One of the best amenities is a common deck area with a barbecue. One-car leased parking completes the convenience of this home. The Harbor Lofts community is conveniently located near some of San Francisco’s largest employers, tech companies and the financial district. South Beach is home to AT&T Park and some of the city’s best bars, clubs, and restaurants including the award-winning Ferry Building. Enjoy easy access to BART, Muni, freeways, the Bay Bridge, and the Embarcadero. Current monthly HOA dues are $376.07 per month. Current parking fee is $130 per month. The property is also known as 101 Harrison Street #212.

HI-DIVE
PROSPECT
Hi-Dive is a great place for a brew and bar food after a busy day of showing my South Beach listings. Plus it’s on the waterfront, and you can’t beat the view!
Located only a block from Embarcadero, but away from the tourist crowd, it’s one of the best restaurants in the area. The servers are knowledgable about the menu and have great recommendations. Their seafood is cooked to perfection and very tasty and ingredients are fresh and paired well. Their mixologistconcocted cocktails are excellent too.

25 LUSK
SMALL
Hidden away on a small alley street is a venue that I’m really enjoying called 25 Lusk. Named after its address, this gorgeous brick and timber venue that opened in 2011 has an upscale feel and sexiness not often found in San Francisco. But don’t think that limits the kind of people who come here—you will find all sorts of folks in this place!
I love the cute little bodega SMALL on Second and Bryant. In the morning they have fresh breakfast options, and lunchtime offers salads, sushi, and made-to-order sandos. You can also duck in here before a Giants game for a glass of wine. SMALL is big in my book!
