ANGELINA’S DELI
BURMA SUPERSTAR
Angelina’s Deli is the local neighborhood place to be, whether you want a gourmet sandwich or a cup of coffee and homemade cookies. Their salads are the best, including a curry chicken salad and a delicious yet healthy kale salad. You’ll likely meet the owner, Angie, who is always friendly to all and generous to kids and families. It’s the perfect place to stop before heading to wine country for the perfect picnic of sandwiches, cheeses, and salads.
I love the atmosphere of Clement Street in the Inner Richmond. Filled with quality Asian markets at reasonable prices, this is where I do most of my veggie shopping. It’s also great for cheap eats with no pretention; Burma Superstar is the go-to restaurant in the area, but also try Good Luck Dim Sum, Chili House or Spices II.

PET’S CORNER
ROSSI PARK
On the corner of Geary and Arguello, Pet’s Corner is one of the highest-rated pet stores on Yelp, with 92 out of 98 five-star reviews! It’s for good reason— Jonathan, the owner, is one of the most caring and knowledgable pet store owners you’ll come across. My dog Harley loves him too…because he gives out free treats.
Rossi Park is made for play, whether kids, dogs, or athletes. There’s a playground, tennis courts, and two baseball fields (popular for a good run among the canine set) and a small dog run (though the whole park is pretty dog-friendly). If the Richmond catches some sun, this is the place to go!
