POQUITO

CHOCOLATE LAB

Poquito is a great spot for Latin American cocktails and tapas. They have gluten free and vegetarian options too! Happy hour is every day from 4:00 7:00 pm.

This is a place worth visiting. First, if you love chocolate, enough said: just go. Second, despite the name, they do serve savory dishes and are a good choice for dinner or lunch. I would recommend visiting for Sunday brunch. Imagine, after taking your pooch out for a romp, walk over to Chocolate Lab and enjoy a bright crisp mimosa or bellini in the sunny Dogpatch....ahhh.

WATERFRONT TRAIL

MR. & MRS. MISCELLANEOUS ICE CREAM

A waterfront trail goes from The Ramp restaurant (at Mariposa near Third Street) all the way north to the Embarcadero without ever having to cross traffic. It’s a great walk/run/bike straight to downtown. (Not many people know about this, so it’s never crowded!).

Mr. & Mrs. Miscellaneous Ice Cream shop on Third Street is the go-to spot for a sweet treat on a warm afternoon. My indulgence is always their sundae with 2 scoops of whatever decadent, unique flavor they are serving up that day with whipped cream, hot fudge, and a brandied cherry on top. I have to spend an extra hour in the gym afterwards, but it is well worth it!
