A WORD FROM CLIMB This Christmas, I got to watching some of the season’s most iconic films—White Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, and an unlikely Christmas film, Love Actually. As I sit down to write February’s letter, Hugh Grant’s opening monologue keeps coming to mind so I wanted to share with with you: “Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there—fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge—they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.” And love is actually all around at Climb Real Estate Group. Our Marketing Manager, November Garcia, is now the fiancee of Roy Murakami who proposed while on vacation in the Philippines. And Leasing Director Darcy Algeo is happily engaged to be married to the most eligible long-standing bachelor Kevin Robinson. And they were introduced by former Climber Renee Brunner Gold! There’ll be heart fluttering Valentine’s Day gifts, romantic destinations, roses, and chocolates, but I’ve learned that love is a much bigger word. From how to love your own company, the love of being single and the homes I’ll never stop loving. New construction is always in my heart and this month we feature Madrone and One Hawthorne. As for me, February is always a special month. I can now officially stop fretting about my own February birthday as my sister will be welcoming a new baby any day now. And my dear friend and Friend of Climb, Michelle Balog, was proposed to by Lewis Phillips. While I may not be engaged or married, I have found that l not only love myself but the one I am with. As always, there’s something for everyone but this February there’s certainly love in the air at Vantage. Enjoy.

The lower level has very cozy seating surrounding some interesting hanging fireplaces. Upstairs in the dining area you’ll find softly lit tables and a service bar that holds about 8 -10 stools for escaping the crowds downstairs. It is one of my favorite sandwich shops/mini mart in the heart of the Rincon Hill community. My turkey sandwich is made to perfection by owner Sam who treats me and those that enter his establishment like one of the family. It’s a great place to pick up fine wine, groceries and snacks when I am racing to another appointment at One Rincon Hill. I really enjoy coming in at the end of my day and catching the ball game where neighbors and friends like to just hang out. SF MOMA
