You’ve got to love Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant not only for a quick bite to eat but also for the assortment of wines. The menu ranges from small plates such as tuna tartare, burrato cheese, and salads to wood oven pizzas, delicious pastas, chicken, and steak. Every Sunday night Local Kitchen offers all you can eat pizza for $12.95 (adult price), which is a fun way for friends and family to get together and try a variety of pizzas. If a certain pizza selection is not available, don’t hesitate to ask your waiter for some of your favorite toppings. Wine Merchant is a quaint wine cellar with hundreds of wines to choose from. Attend one of their monthly wine events or if you live nearby it’s a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or to purchase a bottle of wine for a dinner party. Great local spot that is easy, convenient, serves comfort food, and is located in the Rincon Hill area of SOMA.

My favorite place in Rincon Hill is the Sailor’s Union. It’s extremely exciting that this fine example of Art Deco architecture was not only saved but will continue to be a gathering place for generations to come.
