NEIGHBORHOOD SPOTLIGHT THE HAIGHT

ALEMBIC

SEAN SULLIVAN Senior Sales Leader

Alembic made Travel & Leisure’s top 10 bars in the country for 2011. Modern twists on traditional cocktails are served by master mixologists in a space that is half speak-easy, half neighborhood bar. Locals and tourists rub shoulders and feast on delish lunch and dinner options at tables in the back or at the bar. MAGNOLIA

A neighborhood staple for several years, the people watching from the corner location can’t be beat nor can the old school locally sourced food and custom brewed beers. If it’s in the beer family, Magnolia makes a version of it served in a space that was once a soda fountain and pharmacy. THE PANHANDLE PARK

The Panhandle Park runs between Fell and Oak streets for 8 city blocks and serves as the green line separating The Upper Haight from NOPA. 150-foot tall eucalyptus trees, sweeping lawns and separate paths for runners and cyclists provide a back drop for picnicers, tight rope walkers, nannies with strollers and dog walkers and their charges.

HAIGHT STREET MARKET

ALISA ALBRECHT Senior Sales Associate

I can’t say enough good things about Haight Street Market. I’d rather shop there than Whole Foods or Safeway any day. Awesome prices on organic produce, great selection of natural products and a good assortment of beers and wines. And their deli sandwiches are to die for. Total steal too— great prices for a deli sandwich made to order with quality ingredients. Plus the place has a small business feel. The workers are nice and always helpful. THE GOLD CANE & ALL YOU KNEAD

KATRICE SHANER Marketing Assistant

The Gold Cane is a great little dive bar—definitely one of my favorite spots. All You Knead is an awesome diner type restaurant with big portions, fair prices and delicious mimosas. Perfect for the morning after a night at Gold Cane.

THE CITRUS CLUB

KRISTEN STUECHER Top Producer

All time favorite eatery on Haight Street is The Citrus Club. Relaxed Asian fusion cuisine, their Hot and Sour soup and Beef and Shitake noodles are not to be missed. Big portions at small prices. Me likey!
