Title: Dublin Ships –temporary public art project – Date 2015 (photocredit Ros Kavanagh) Materials: custom software LED screens Dimensions: 2(6m x 2m) Description: The artwork is generated via AIS (Automatic Identification System), which tracks the locations of ships. The names of the most recently arrived and most recently departed ships from Dublin Port are output to two large LED screens sited at the Scherzer Bridges at North Wall Quay beside the Convention Centre.

Title: “Fixed Elsewhere” in exhibition “Phoenix Rising” –Hugh Lane Gallery, 2014-15 installation shot Description: A large image (approx A1) received using usb hardware, a pc and an antenna to capture an image from passing satellites.

Dimensions : max 40cm screen 4.8cm (128x160 pixels) Animated image sequence based on International maritime signal flags with omissions and additions. Initial sequence based on some of the ship names seeking MH30. Images remixed from files created by user Denelson 83 on Wikipedia Commons

Title: Mask V1, 2014 Materials: Cokin A345 & B345 photography filters, photographic bellows, mixed materials, live CCTV camera, 3000 lumen SD projector Dimensions -variable depending on site Description: This work uses natural window light and a live camera feed fed through obsolete photographic filters and bellows to create an image which changes very slowly depending on the level /angle of the sun. The work mimics a solar eclipse. When shown previously the work was close to a doorway and the image was subtly and temporarily eclipsed by people entering the space. The work is plug and play and low maintenance. It is viewable in subdued and natural daylight. It is scalable depending on projector.
