SAT DREAM-TIME-THEATRE (TIPPERARY) 4 & 9PM WHITE MEMORIAL THEATRE | ● 4pm - €10 9pm - €15 written by paul maher produced by catherine o’donnell

ANGEL DUST & DALLAS. It’s John B. Keane meets Fr Ted in this outlandish comedy of the priest’s housekeeper and church sacristan, in love with Bobby Ewing and Cliff Barnes from Dallas on the telly and up to every sort of devilment you can imagine because in a church determined at all costs to avoid a scandal you really can get away with anything. THE MAN FROM CLERIHAN. In this romantic comedy Willie Cleary calls on Mary Kate, the young widow of his recently deceased best friend to collect a debt owed to him by her late husband. She is determined not to pay; he is equally determined to get his money. Mary Kate’s younger sister- the romance enchanted Angie - is meantime only too happy to add to the drama as it unfolds with muffins, shotguns, thrashy romantic novels, and a pair of smelly socks. Cast James Whelan; Catherine O’Donnell; Bernadette Culhane.

SAT LISA O' NEILL 6PM | €15 BAKERS BAR | ⓴ On her way to heaven, Lisa O’Neill hit “a pothole in the sky”.....a perfect way to start this tale, this journey, this album. Because all great things and all great art usually stems from a bump in the road - or a pothole in the sky. O'Neill's singular voice, witty lyrics and observations on modern Irish life gained her popularity and set her apart as a unique talent.

TWIN HEADED WOLF & SAT CAOIMHÍN Ó RAGHALLAIGH 8PM | €30 MITCHELSTOWN CAVE Their eccentric, folklore informed stage shows have earned them a cult following in Ireland and abroad. They tread a narrow track between the beautiful, the dark and the ridiculous. Using teapots, saws, bicycles, milk jugs, bones, dollies and decapitated French hunting horns as instruments, their ethereal twin-edged blood harmonies form the distinct and unique creature that is Twin Headed Wolf.

“Ó Raghallaigh’s particular achievement is that he has stimulated a new move towards avant-garde experimentation in Irish traditional music, and demonstrated that it is possible to step entirely outside of the genre and back again – and that the process enriches both worlds.” – Toner Quinn, The Journal of Music.

SAT LISA HANNIGAN 22 9PM | â‚Ź25 OLD ST. MARY'S CHURCH | â—?

SUN SALON: THE WITCHING HOUR MIDDAY | €10 THE MAIN GUARD | ❿ curated by kathy scott the ireland : iceland project | the trailblazery

A conversation exploring the pull of the Otherworld; In Celtic mythology, the Otherworld is the realm of the dead and the home of the deities and other powerful spirits. We want to cast some light on the shadowy realms that have inhabited the psyche through story, music, performance and conversation. This event is inspired by the local story of Bridget Cleary -“the last witch burned in Ireland”, immortalised in a children’s rhyme: “Are you a witch or are you a fairy, Or are you the wife of Michael Cleary?”.

Join Angela Bourke, author of The Burning of Bridget Cleary: A True Story, visual artist Alice Maher and Manchán Magan in conversation about the role of folklore and superstition in Irish tradition, and whether or not belief in the existence of a parallel fairy world still influences the Irish imagination today. We will be joined by musical guests Linda Buckley and Laura Sheeran.
