Hot Air Balloons have been floating over Clovis for decades. In 1998 the Clovis Chamber of Commerce added a Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly to its annual ClovisFest celebration. This Free event has been a family favorite ever since.The ClovisFest Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly takes place in the Clovis Rodeo grounds at 6:00 a.m. each day of ClovisFest. The balloon pilots go the extra mile for the residents of Clovis. They come out before dawn each day of the event and give the crowd a thrill by blowing fire into the early morning sky. Tethered rides are conducted wind and weather permitting. Do NOT RIDE if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Tethered rides normally last 3 to 4 minutes. Children under 42” tall may not ride without a parent or guardian. Participants should be in generally good physical condition. Passenger weight is limited to 275 lbs. per person. All passengers are required to sign a Release & Waiver of Liability. Passengers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
