THE 4 PILL ARS OF THE CHARLOT TE
1) Develop and implement a coordinated economic development strategy that utilizes the diverse assets of the region to attract companies that strengthen the overall regional economy and provide opportunities for economic mobility.
4) Invest at least $1 million in regional marketing campaigns for the purposes of 1) attracting economic development prospects and consultants 2) attracting talent to the regional workforce; 3) promoting the work and mission of the Alliance.
2) Generate at least 75 economic development projects and support the efforts of our partners to land new investment within the region.
5) Develop and launch the most innovative, informative and client-focused economic development website in the country.

1) Launch a pilot digital platform to connect job-seekers (with a focus on 16-24 year olds) to the region’s existing workforce development support services and job opportunities. 2) Conduct Career Connections, designed to cultivate diverse, entry-level talent in the accounting and information technology fields by connecting students with business leaders. 3) Manage Emerging Business Leaders (EBL) class (60 participants) to enhance leadership capability of high-potential, diverse professionals. 4) Present opportunities for women leaders to connect and grow professionally through the Power of Women programming.

1) In conjunction with regional partners, draft and advocate for a legislative agenda that supports a healthy regional economy. Examples include: permanence of the jet fuel exemption; continuation and expansion of economic development incentives and investments in two commercial service airports 2) Strengthen regional relationships to rally support for key economic issues. 3) Support planning for the RNC, focusing on opportunities for economic development and brand promotion. 4) Serve to amplify and promote efforts designed to address affordable housing needs.
