What is it? Quixdown® is a very high quality goose down that goes through a proprietary process that applies a durable water repellent treatment to each plume of down, making it virtually impervious to water.
Why use it in our gear? It is the highest quality down available, resistant to water and will maintain loft if wet. While down has the highest warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation, it was never previously a viable option for mountain hunting because it loses insulating properties when subjected to moisture.
