Quixdown® Technology Why We Made It
Quixdown® is a premium-quality goose down with a remarkably high-loft of 850+ fill power and 95:5 downto-feather ratio that goes through a proprietary process that applies a durable water repellent treatment to each plume of down, making it impervious to water.
How to Use It It is the highest quality down available, resistant to water and will maintain loft if wet. Down has the highest warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation and is designed to lock in warmth. Add the DWR treatment to each plume of down, making it resistant to water and the result is the most ideal insulation available for protection from the extreme cold and wind.
Sized as a true outer layer, the Burner is ideal when temperatures plunge, making it perfect for extended glassing sessions or low activity situations. It easily compresses and self-stows inside a provided stuff sack or into a medium size roll-top dry bag if additional compression is wanted. With a new streamlined fit, and a quilt-free design, stitch holes are eliminated on the outer fabrics to increase durability and performance, and K-DWR treated to resist light rain. The Kenai is body-mapped with thicker insulation at the core and thinner insulation on the sides for breathability and temperature regulation.
