Welcome Without a doubt, you know how deeply satisfying it is to make an album and the joy it brings to give it to someone. I was reminded of that when I put together my second son’s grad album. I tried to cover the journey from a premature baby to a six-foot-fourinch rugby player now in medical school. As I worked through the images and memories, it filled me with pride, sparked laughs and brought a few misty moments. Though my albums are inexpertly done by your standards, seeing the appreciation on his face was an over-the-moon joy. The albums I’ve given my boys are the best gifts I’ve ever given. It turns out those feelings of satisfaction and happiness translate to longer-term wellness benefits. Working with the leading expert in the field of nostalgia, Dr. Clay Routledge of North Dakota State University, we conducted a study with college students who gathered to make albums and report on their experience. The results provided statistical support that scrapbooking can be a powerful nostalgic activity that induces a positive mood, relieves stress and makes people feel connected. Here are a few comments from the participants who are in my son’s demographic:

Visit CreativeMemories.ca and select “Customize� to get started! Spines ship separately from your album. When you receive your custom spine, you can replace the spine currently in your album with your new custom spine following the steps below:
Step 1 Gently curl the spine over using a flat surface to ensure you are bending in the middle.
Step 2 Pinch the sides of the spine and insert the two square corners into the album first.
Step 3 Gently lower the spine down so the two rounded corners insert into the album.
Add a title to your spine in gold, silver or black foil! Step 4 Press down gently and evenly on each end of the spine to fully insert the spine into the album.

Step 1 With the bottom tray flipped out and clicked in place, lift up the arm on the Guide and slide the paper under until it aligns with the edge of the tray.
Step 2 Close the arm (magnets will hold the paper in place) and flip the bottom tray back into place.
Step 5 Holding down the Guide with one hand, press down on the lever with the other hand to create the border design. Continue moving the Border Maker along the Guide, aligning to each notch and pressing the lever to complete the border.

Step 3 Insert the cartridge into the Border Maker until it clicks in place, raising the white lever.
Step 6 Lift up the arm on the Guide to release the paper.
Step 4 Slide the edge of the paper into the slot on the Border Maker and line up the notch on the lever with the notch on the Guide arm.
Step 7 Remove the cartridge by pressing the button on the back of the Border Maker.
