Directions to hospital. From Brentwood town centre At the traffic light junction of Weald Road and Kings Road, turn into Kings Road. Go straight across the first mini roundabout and continue down the hill (bearing right) at the second mini-roundabout. You will go past Brentwood railway station on the left. Continue up Warley Hill, past the petrol station and straight across two miniroundabouts. At the next traffic lights turn left into Eagle Way. The hospital entrance is 100 yards along on the right hand side. From A12/M25 junction 28 Leave the A12 at the junction with the M25, or leave the M25 motorway at junction 28, and take the A1023 to Brentwood. The Holiday Inn will be on your left. Go straight across the first set of traffic lights. Turn right at the second set of lights into Mascalls Lane. At the end of Mascalls Lane, go straight across the lights into Eagle Way. The hospital entrance is 100 yards along on the right hand side. From A127/M25 junction 29 Leave the A127 at the junction with the B186, signposted Brentwood. Stay on the B186 for one and a half miles to traffic lights. Turn right into Eagle Way. The hospital entrance is 100 yards along on the right hand side.

On left side of hospital building, double glass doors, small ramp, couple of cones, goods delivery area, turn van around so facing towards way out and unload near doors. If doors not open ring bell next to doors (If late at night, may have to walk around to main ent to get porter to open doors) Through doors, follow corridor down to left. Then right, (past canteen) to main corridor ,lifts on left. Into lift, up one floor, turn right out of lift, right again, down corridor. Endoscopy room on left hand side. Patients come from bedded area across corridor. Endoscopy room quite small, some equipment can be taken out and placed in Day unit across corridor.
Treating Patients. Park car in main car park. To get to endoscopy. Past main reception desk, down corridor to stairs on right, (or lifts on left) up one floor, endoscopy/day unit down corridor near lifts. Patients prepared in 4 bedded day unit across corridor from endoscopy treatment room. Patient numbers vary between 5-10, normally renal, although occasional peyronies and ortho, (hospital will be told when wolf litho attending so ortho patients shouldn’t be booked.) First patient in at 8.00am, 8.30am start time. All private patients so they normally bring their own films, although they can be sent down to x-ray for a film if need be. Tea/coffee provided in Day Unit. Canteen ground floor, down corridor next to lifts, food paid for by tokens, tokens from machine on wall in canteen. Sister Clare Homsi and Nurse Sarah Black normally run the list. Turn left out of hospital Main Entrance. Turn left at traffic lights. Down road for approx. 1 mile Hotel on right hand side. Take first entrance into the car park.
