Hospital Telephone Number :- 020 7405 9200 Before Treatment session The week before the session, contact Andrew Gerard, confirm that we are using theatre 5 and we can install the evening before. Ensure he has notified the Security Manager, Andy Warman, to confirm parking provision in the Mortuary Area & the availability of a ‘Contractor’s Pass’ for the Powis Place entrance and access to VCB Theatres. Give Andrew the details of the VAN and request a parking permit is e-mailed & this is printed out and given to the driver
Directions to Hospital and Treatment Room Enter the post code for POWIS PLACE rather than the hospital into your Sat Nav. Go down Powis Place and park near the entrance to the hospital on the right so as not to obstruct ambulance access. Go round to the main entrance and collect the ‘Contractor’s Pass’ from security at the main desk. Unload the equipment and leave in corridor. Take van back on to Gt. Ormond Street and drive past main entrance to small gate towards end of building. Press intercom and request access (remind them you’ll be doing thiswhen you collect the pass) Drive down slope and try to park next to stainless steel chimney to the left. DO NOT park in bays straight ahaead. To exit press intercom button half way up ramp. Take equipent up one floor to Theatres. There is a lift adjacent to the Powis Place door. Exit lift, straight down corridor, past main lifts, recessed double doors on right. Enter theatres, (as if you need to change, depends on staff) past reception on left, recovery on right through into open space often with trolleys in. On the right is access to two theatres, the one on the left is theatre 5 use kick switch on left, just above floor level to open automatic doors. Install equipment between anaesthetic machine and equipment on far wall, leaving an access space behind. (ask staff to move operating table if required). Put boxes and transport trim in sluice/dirty utility
