CĂ‚MARA MUNICIPAL DA HORTA
HLP TECHFEST After the great success of previous editions of Horta Lan Party, the largest held in Azores, the municipality of Horta intends to continue this high-impact project in the area of technology and entertainment, with a bigger event called “HLP TechFest 2015�. Held simultaneously as the lan party, this tech festival will gather several activities with special emphasis on the tech show, offering the public, first hand contact with last generation technological products. Workshops and scientific lectures will also be part of this project. The event will take place from the 18th to 20th of December on a1000 m2 pavilion.

The project goal is the promotion of scientific and technological culture allowing people direct contact with these subjects, encouraging the birth of partnerships with tech companies, and to consolidate the scientific and technological potential of the Azores.

CHARITY Given the proximity to Christmas, the city of Horta makes a charity apeal. Free admission to those who offer groceries that later will be distributed to those in need.

SPORTS Aware that overuse of technology can lead to a sedentary lifestyle HLP has sheduled several sport activities.
