Participating In Purpose: You Can Do It!
Have you ever felt the weight of God’s call on your life and wondered if you’re enough to carry it out? Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s handiwork, created for good works God has already prepared for us, and when we trust God, God equips us with everything we need.
1.God Gives Proper Purpose : Don’t just do anything; do what God is calling you to do and give God the credit.
Proverbs 16:1-3
Deuteronomy 8:17-18
David’s Insight: David’s life demonstrates that seeking God’s purpose begins with acknowledging God as the source of all plans. In Ziklag, after facing great loss, David didn’t act impulsively—he sought God’s guidance to ensure his actions aligned with God’s will.
2. God Gives Priority to Purpose: Don’t just have God in your life; make God and God’s purpose your priority. God’s purpose was created in advance, so align your priorities with God’s.
Isaiah 26:3-4
2 Timothy 1:9
David’s Insight: David prioritized seeking God’s direction before pursuing the Amalekites. He understood the importance of aligning his priorities with God’s.
3. God Gives Power for Purpose: You are powered by Jesus Christ, not your own strength. The same power that resurrected Jesus is available to you.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Ephesians 1:18-20
David’s Insight: David’s victory wasn’t based on his strength alone but on God’s power and provision. David asked, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” and waited for God’s confirmation that He would empower the pursuit.
