WHICH IS THINE
At Cardigan we have many different clubs. A few of them shown here are unicycling, woodcarving, cooking, weightlifting, ping pong, sauna, silkscreening, games, gymnastics, model building, and magic.
WHEN DAY FADES INTO DREAMS
OF GOALS TOWARD WHICH WE
Students at Cardigan learn in many ways, both in the classroom and through the experience of observing and participating in activities out足 side the classroom. Class groups go to Cape Cod, the Freedom Trail, Shelburne Museum, Squam Lakes Science Center, and the Boston Mu足 seum of Fine Arts; and the entire school experiences the excitement of a New England fair at Sandwich.

As Cardigan is mirrored in Our crystal lake so clear May we through life reflect Thy truths And mennories as dear; Of sunnmer’s green; Fall’s colors bright Of glimmering stars at night. God give us strength to carry on Through storm or weather fair The peace, vouchsafed by living here, For all the world to share.

CLASS OF ’83 DEDICATES BLAZE TO CHIEF AND FINKY
Mr. Finkbeiner’s unstinting efforts witin the Clioir, Inis invaluable assistance in the Performing Arts program, his constant presence at the piano or organ for Chapel and school meetings, and his position as the “ Poet Laureate” of Cardigan Mountain School make him a treasured member of the faculty. Without Mrs. Shelton, not only would life be difficult, it would be positively boring. It Is she who arranges for the electrical and telephone lines to be blown; it is she who sends immense Get Well cards to anyone in the hospital; it is she who bakes giant cookies - the “ incredible edibles” which are a legend at Cardigan. To this lady, who is not only a “ Librarian” , but truly a “ Resourceress” ; and to this gentle man, who swears like a sailor, but loves as readily, we the Class of 1983, proudly dedicate the Blaze - to Chief and Finky.
