To Cardigan our favored school by nature's gifts benign, we raise our song of thankfulness for beauty which is thine: For winter's snow, for afterglow when day fades into dreams Of goals towards which we all will strive to keep our faiths alive.

The Class of 2002 dedicates the Blaze to
Mr. Truslow, the class of 2002 enthusiastically thanks you for your level of commitment to and interest in the members of the graduating class. From coordinating Alumni Affairs to teaching Global Studies, scheduling haircuts to assisting at the rink, you have made an impact on the lives of many. When asked to comment on your presence in the community, students responded with sincere appreciation. "I picked T'Low simply because he is "the man". He has been there whenever I needed him and he always hears me out, even when he disagrees with me." "He makes Cardigan a happier place with his smile." "He always comes to my games, and he is there when I need to talk to someone." "Mr. Truslow has been my advisor for two years. He goes out of his way to help me succeed at Cardigan." "He is the coolest!" "Thanks to Mr. Truslow for keeping my hair to a spiff!"
Congratulations Mr. Truslow!

Successful Tournament
Varsity Soccer The 2001 V arsity Soccer team had a strong finish, and finished third place at the New England Private School Tournament. Despite our record, it was a strong season. The team consisted of five underclass足 men and eleven seniors. We played top level prep school teams, which were made up of juniors and seniors in high school. Coaches Blood & Brier were pleased with our efforts. 36
A t the to u rn a m e n t we earned a 5-0-2 record, and we did not give up a single goal. The team was lead by tri-cap tain s N ick Benoit, Carlos Cardenas and Jer足 emy Tufts. Our team consisted of play足 ers from all over the United States and Mexico, Korea, Ethiopia & Venezuala. - Teddy Dimond

T aylor C hace booting the ball for the op ening gam e kickoff
UNDEFEATED!!!!!
Varsity Football This year's varsity foot足 ball tearr\ was a different one than in the past. W e did not have just one person who could do everything. Everyone had to put their full effort in for every play we coordinated. This team had to w ork hard. Our record at the end of the sea足 son is evidence of our hard work.
Our enthusiastic football tea m c o m p e te d a g a in st Eaglebrook, our arch rival. After a tough four quarters and two overtim es, we fin足 ished the game w ith a quick pass to Kevin Kessler. This win m otivated the team to continue fighting until the end of the seaon. Our final record was 11-0. - Jeff W ilson and Patrick Coleman

Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up w ith snow.
He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake.
My little horse m ust think it queer To stop w ithout a farm house near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep. - Robert Frost 49
