Parties Planning or hosting a party is a big responsibility. If you decide to host a party in the City of Mt. Pleasant, make sure to avoid a few things such as: • Open intoxicants in public spaces • Selling or furnishing alcohol to minors • Drinking and driving • Loud music or noise after 11 p.m. Taking the necessary precautions will help prevent unwanted conflicts with neighbors and police. Property appearance While renting in the City of Mt. Pleasant the tenant is responsible for the maintenance of the house and yard, including trash disposal. Follow these quick tips to avoid city fines and review a more detailed list at www. mt-pleasant.org/CMUstudents. (Mt. Pleasant Housing Code and the International Property Maintenance Code) • Trash bags and carts must be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on pickup day and removed no later than 6 p.m. • Do not overfill your trash carts or bags • Mow your lawn on a regular basis and remove snow from your sidewalk in the winter • Do not store inoperable vehicles in the yard or streets • Keep indoor furniture inside and not on the porch or yard
