October 2013 Dear Daily Athenaeum Advertiser: I’d like to begin by formally introducing myself. My name is Joanne Hunt and I am the new Advertising and Marketing Manager here at The Daily Athenaeum. I am very excited to be working with the staff here and I am looking forward to the future of our product as we begin to make several enhancements adding options that will suit many of the needs of our local business community. Some of these enhancements you may have already noticed. On September 5, we launched our Business Services Guide, designed to allow service businesses an opportunity for everyday advertising. I really believe this guide will become the resource that our local community is seeking in order to find businesses that can assist with the hazards of everyday life. This year we also focused on issues that face members of our communities. Monday’s in October the front page of our print product will be going PINK! to promote cancer awareness. This month we will share stories of hope and survival and continue to promote conversations with our readers via our Facebook and Twitter accounts. We are here to make an impact and we appreciate your support as we focus on our local market. Although I am new to the market, in the days to come I will reach out to many of our business and campus advertisers to establish a personal connection. It is my belief that great professional relationships are the beginnings to great advertising campaigns that increase revenue by establishing and/or promoting a brand.
