Best Sales Increase of a Special Section
Summary Each year, the Minnesota Daily prints an official Housing Guide for students and partners with Housing & Residential Life to organize the annual Housing Fair. We moved both the guide and the fair from early spring to December this year because we noticed that many students begin their apartment hunt and sign leases before leaving for winter break. This appealed to our previous advertisers and also generated revenue from new advertisers looking to fill their buildings in the fall. The publication’s move to December increased sales from $14,773.35 to $21,092.40, a $6,319.05, or 42.8% increase over the February issue.
