Miami-Dade announces transportation information for Sony Ericsson tourney

A

fter years of planning and widespread community support, the new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science broke ground on Feb. 24 in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park. The groundbreaking ceremony took place at the museum’s new site overlooking Biscayne Bay, marking the continuation of Miami’s rise as one of the world’s most culturally rich cities. The groundbreaking event marks the beginning of construction, with the new museum scheduled to open to the public by early 2015. “Great cities are home to top tier museums,” said Trish and Dan Bell, co-chairs of the museum’s board of trustees. “The new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of

estled along Biscayne Bay in scenic Coconut Grove, the Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) is home to 11 acres of tropical flora and fauna in a pristine secluded Eden where even the nearby sounds of city traffic seem to defer to the rustling royal palm trees swaying in the breeze. The 18th annual Bali Ha’i Party at the Kampong will take place Sunday, Apr. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the exotic ecological oasis where famed botanist David Fairchild resided until his passing in 1954. This quintessential garden party will include live Hawaiian style musicians with authentic crafts and lei making, while guests sample gastronomical delights from more than 30 of the finest area restaurants along with ample wine, champagne and
