foods — hamburgers, hot dogs, snowcones, hot popcorn and cold drinks — as well as free watermelon after the parade. This year there will be music provided by Mike Schuler, and for the kids there will be a bounce house, water slide and the Humble Hearts Puppet Show. A flyover by the U.S. Air Force is planned, weather permitting. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated floats. “This event is free and open to all residents of Cutler Bay and South Dade County.” said Jean M. Welsh, a member of the sponsoring organizations, who is handling publicity for the event. “This community project is a lot of fun.” Everything that is best about a “small town” is captured in this yearly event that brings everyone together.
