The foundation of our American democracy is dependent on fair and equitable representation in Congress. to achieve an accurate assessment of the number and location of the people living within the nation’s borders, the U.S. Constitution mandates a census of the population every 10 years. The census population totals determine which states gain or lose representation in Congress. It also determines the amount of state and federal funding communities receive over the course of the decade. Alliance Seminars, Expo at Free Zone, Feb. 24

he newly-created “Alliance to Promote International Trade” will welcome visitors to Miami Free Zone on Wednesday, February 24 by providing three free seminars to acquaint agencies and business organizations through the efforts of Florida Foreign Trade Association to foster international partners with Doral-based businesses. Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez and Doral City Council quickly joined the MiamiDade League of Cities’ Haiti earthquake relief efforts as the City of Doral contributed $50,000 towards helping Haitian
families whose homes and country was devastated by an earthquake measured 7.0 on the Richter scale on January 12 — but help hasn’t been limited to a cash donation. FFTA Business School offers management

Trade lorida Foreign Association has issued an invitation for training program in International Management, leading to a certification after four halfday course sessions at one-third off a regular fee ($1,000 instead of $1,500). The sessions offer participants the practical knowledge, abilities, skills and attitudes to face the challenges of managing people in a global economy in the 21st Century.
