Doral Business Council Enters the Airwaves To host its own radio show on 880 The Biz

O

n July 7, the Doral Business Council (DBC) will make history when it goes on the air with its first radio show. In an effort to expand its reach and provide another means of getting information out to its members and the community, Executive Director, Pete De La Torre, will host a weekly radio show on 880 The Biz AM. The half hour program, which will air on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m., will feature informational segments on economic development and sustainability, interviews with key government and business leaders on current events, and cover issues of interests. It’s exciting to see how the DBC has flourished during the past 6 years. Hosting its own radio program once again confirms the growth of the organization,” said Nubielena Medina, Principal of NMG Consulting, DBC Marketing Committee Board Liaison, Past Chairperson and Founding member. The Biz is the only station in South Florida strictly dedicated to business. With Bloomberg kicking off the day, listeners find out what happened in Europe, Japan and other overseas markets the night before and what is predicted for the open of our stock exchange here. The Biz also features an array of local programs covering South Florida businesses and how local and national issues affect the marketplace. This new marketing effort will also give members an opportunity to promote their products and services by sponsoring the DBC program. For more information about sponsorship opportunities or the DBC program,, please contact the DBC office at 305-470-9597.

Jorge Guevarra and staff (left and center) of 880 The Biz have experience working with Pete De La Torre, DBC Executive Director (right). Tune in for Pete's debut as a host when the DBC program airs next month on 880 The Biz.
