elay for life is the American Cancer Society’s annual fundraiser. It is an overnight, community event where enterprises, small businesses, associations, and others, form teams to raise money. Each team camps out and walks throughout the night, enjoying live entertainment, food, fun and camaraderie. Cancer survivors are the shining stars of Relay for Life. The event is a tribute to these brave survivors during which we celebrate their courage in the fight! Relay For Life events are held in over 5,000 communities throughout the country. Last year it raised more than $160 million for research, education, advocacy and patient services to help find a cure for cancer. This is the 9th year the City of Doral participates in Relay for Life. Last year, the Doral teams raised estimated $120,000, making Doral one of the top fund-raising events in Miami-Dade County.
