ONE OF MIAMI’S COMMUNITY NEWSPAPERS
Village water project funding runs dry BY JEFF CUTLER On the last day of this year’s Florida legislative session, funding for the Pinecrest Potable Water Project was pulled from the state budget. As all residents of Pinecrest know from the construction and road work being conducted in mostly the eastern portion of Pinecrest, the Village has been in the process of installing water pipes (a “backbone”) in the areas of the Village that do not have access to potable water, along with the fire hydrants that go with them.
