TotalBank opens new Village banking center

T

otalBank officially opened its much anticipated full service branch facility in Pinecrest last week, barely four months after breaking ground late last year. Chartered in 1974 and today holding $2.2 billion in assets, TotalBank hosted a gala grand opening party in the modern new banking center, 10205 S. Dixie Hwy., on May 2 attended by Pinecrest Mayor Cindy Lerner and Village council members Jeff Cutler, Bob Ross and Joe Corradino. TotalBank President Luis de la Aguilera headed the corporate contingent attending the festivities and he told the crowd that while the building was new, the bank has been active in the area for a long time. “We have been very active in the Pinecrest community for many years without having a physical presence,” said de la Aguilera. “We made the commitment to build in Pinecrest well over a year ago and opened a three-man loan production office here. The Pinecrest demographics are very strong and we

ummer is coming and there’s a new game in town — Pinecrest Sports Camps. Based at Suniland Park, 12855 S. Dixie Hwy., the new camp is gearing up to provide kids with the ultimate sports experience. There will be no couch potatoes here and the camp’s theme says it all: All sports… all fun… all day! Each morning during camp, threehour sports clinics in football, baseball, softball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer and cheerleading will be taught by renowned high school coaches. Highlevel athletes from local high schools and colleges will assist the coaching team and serve as camp counselors. Camp afternoons will be full of games, including dodgeball and gator-
