YMCA Downrite Park facility Around Town still in limbo after 4 years Casa Larios is

he YMCA buildings at South Miami Park, also known as Downrite Park, still have not begun construction after nearly four years, and city officials are concerned. The YMCA suggests that they are waiting on the city for a go-ahead. Charlotte Donn, a spokesperson for the YMCA of Greater Miami, stated when contacted last week that they needed more information from city officials. “The last thing we had in communication with the city was trying to get some feedback on what the Master Plans were, and we’re waiting for our next steps with them because we can’t build the Y separate from what they’re doing at the park,” said Donn. “So we need to be working together on what they’re planning to do with the Master Plan,

Oh yes, also saw former South Miami Vice Mayor Armando Oliveros Jr. And by the way, haven’t seen Wayne Brackin there in a while, but I did see him very early one morning at the Starbucks on Sunset Drive, just in case you wanted to disrupt him while he sips away and reads his favorite gossip column.
