The successful candidate must possess an Associate Degree, or higher (preferred), a minimum of three (3) years of business experience in Purchasing, as well as five (5) years manufacturing experience in a fabrication or machine shop environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Successful candidate must have experience using an ERP system (SAP preferred), ability to read fabrication and machining drawings along with a clear understanding of welding symbols and machining tolerances. Experience in all Microsoft Office software is required, with advanced skills in Excel. Additional skills required: Workload prioritization, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, must be accurate while multi-tasking, make independent decisions, follow oral and/or written direction with little to no supervision, be self-motivated, and continually meet the quality standards of Andritz which includes projecting a positive, professional image to peers, vendors, and customers. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Create and manage purchase orders in SAP; follow-up and expedite deliveries on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, monitor deliveries from sub-suppliers for schedule & quality compliance, manage goods receipt and invoice exceptions, identify, select, evaluate and development of suppliers, negotiate with suppliers, address vendor quality issues and handle complaints, work through project / purchasing issues while maintaining positive relationships with internal/external customers, compile and issue status reports on projects and key purchases, support the Purchasing Manager, Category Managers and other staff in implementing purchasing requirements, prepare and distribute request for Quotation packages, finalize negotiations with selected vendors, maintain internal system data, including vendor qualifications, prices, price validity dates, information records, etc., manage, negotiate and monitor service agreements, NDAs, and certificates of insurance, negotiate and revise Andritz Terms and Conditions, as needed for vendor purchases, travel occasionally to visit Vendors as well as attend meetings and trainings at other Andritz locations, coach and train assigned employees as necessary, and perform other various activities as required to support purchasing functions. Position is performed in an office environment with the requirement of good mobility in order to move between departments, including manufacturing plant facilities which may be dusty and dirty, with varying temperatures and noise levels. Candidate will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, wear necessary PPE and endure extended working hours, when required. Position requires work to be conducted in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
