The International Garden Centre Association’s 2017 Congress will be hosted by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association in Niagara Falls, Ontario!

INDULGE YOUR SENSE OF ADVENTURE AT IGCA 2017 IN NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA Home to the world famous Niagara Falls, the Niagara region is also known for its wineries, history and of course its garden centres. Come and explore this diverse area and visit some of Canada’s most renowned garden retailers. We will take you to urban garden centres, right in the heart of metropolitan areas; as well as retail nurseries that span hundreds of acres. In between these visits, you will have a chance to explore the area and get a true taste of Canadian culture.
Gardens, which holds 17 awardwinning themed gardens in its four acres! Finishing off the night will be a dinner cruise along the moonlit Toronto harbour.
Day Two
The day will begin with a speaker from Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, home to Canada’s hardy rose breeding program. Delegates will visit International Grower of the Year finalist Winkelmolen Nursery and the suburban Holland Park Garden Gallery. Next, the group will enjoy exploring Toronto’s Distillery District and step back into an era of horsedrawn carts, windmills and sailing
ships. Dinner will be held at the Hockey Hall of Fame, with a chance to try Canada’s favourite sport.
Day Three
Mid-week, we will visit Van Dongen’s, a garden centre that is also involved in nursery production. As well as, Terra Greenhouses, one of the region’s garden centre chains. Sheridan Nurseries will host dinner at its world-renowned location (an international Grower of the Year champion).
Day Four
Today is all about garden centres. Delegates will travel north, stopping at centres along the way, including Humber Nurseries, Pathways to Perennials and Bradford Garden Gallery. Once up in Ontario’s cottage country, delegates will be treated to a hardy meal, complete with campfire, music and dancing.
Day Five
On the final day, we’ll fit in one more garden centre, Vermeer’s Garden Centre & Nursery, before we spend a day exploring the beautiful Niagara region. Delegates will get a closer look at the world famous Niagara Falls and the small village of Niagara-on-the-Lake (great for shopping), and of course a winery or two!
new this year... Interactive Tour A Study Tour for All Ages!
