Setting up your A2 Media Blog 1. Log into blogspot using the same username/ email address and password as you used for your Y12 blog. 2. In the Dashboard, click ‘New Blog’ 3. Set up a new blog for your Year 13/ A2 Media work. Think of an appropriate title (Boris Munchkin’s A2 Media Blog, for instance).

4. Pick a template. You can change it later. DON’T PICK “DYNAMIC VIEWS” 5. For your first post, Put in some basic text such as ‘Welcome’ or ‘Hi, this is my new blog’. On the right of the page, label this post with the following tags/ labels (separate tags with commas): G324 Research into target audience, G324 Research into music videos, G324 Planning Music Video, G324 Research and Planning Print Productions, G324 Completed Productions, G324 Evaluation 6. Publish this post to your blog. (You might need to split these labels across two blog entries). 7. Edit the Layout of your new blog: a. Go to Layout. b. In the margin, click Add a Gadget c. Select labels. This will add a list of all of your labels to the margin of your blog. This will mean that we can navigate your blog easily. d. “Save Arrangement”

8. Edit the settings of your blog as follows: a. Go to ‘Settings’ b. Go to ‘Comments’ c. Ensure the following settings are used: 1. Comment moderation: Never 2. Comment Notification Email: Put in the email address you check most often. This may be your CNS email address, but it may be another email address. This will mean that every time someone comments on your blog, you’ll get an email. d. Save Settings 9. Send the URL of your new blog to g.seal@cns-school.org

NB Do not delete your year 12 blog. You might not post anything new to it, but you’ll be using this when you prepare for your Year 13 exams.
