More than 300 participants ran the first Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot held at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. A group of volunteers organized the event with hopes to make it an annual holiday tradition.

The trot raised a little more than $6,700; proceeds will go toward the turf field initiative formed by the Fayetteville-Manlius Community Sports Facility Association. Its goal is to raise $1.8 million by March 1. Right now, funds are just over $1 million. Turn to page 3 for related article.

By Tami S. Zimmerman tzimmerman@cnylink.com DeWitt residents each year pay approximately $4 million (including fringe benefits) to keep their local police department running. Another $3 million is paid to the Onondaga County Sheriff ’s Department for its services. Police Chief Eugene Conway recently summarized the breakdown of costs and coverage between the two entities in a recent interview with the Eagle Bulletin.

According to 2009 data, Conway said the DeWitt Police Department answered and handled the bulk of 911 calls – 82 percent – for police services in the town of DeWitt. The sheriff ’s department picked up 16 percent while state police responded to 2 percent.

The town of DeWitt Police Department employs five clerks and 38 full-time police officers. On any given day, there are at least four patrol cars on the road, 24 hours, seven days a week. In addition, the local department provides numerous neighborhood, school and community programs.

In contrast, the sheriff ’s patrol coverage is significantly lower than DeWitt’s. Also, because patrol cars are not exclusive to the town of DeWitt, response times suffer.

Since DeWitt police never leave the town, they are able to respond to a 911 call in 2.4 minutes on average.

“We’re very fortunate we can do [it] that quickly,” said Conway, who worked 24 years with the sheriff ’s department. “That is something we’re able to accomplish by being a local police department.”

By Caitlin Donnelly For years, Larry Cook has had an interest in antiques and collecting. When he opened Cook and Cook Auctions four years ago, he never dreamed one of his clients would be a former president of the United States.

Cook grew up in Manlius, the son of Larry and Joyce Cook. He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1978. In 1995, he moved to Plains, Penn., with his wife, Diane, where they opened Cook and Cook Estate Liquidators in 1999. In 2006, they added Cook and Cook Auctions with partners Mark and Annette Parmelee. Through the auction division, Cook and Cook consign anything from one item to an entire business.

Winter has set in again at Fayetteville-Manilus High School. As snow and cold temperatures arrive, the stadium and track, sitting at the front of the school campus, begins a quiet period that, normally, stretches from October to April.

Yet if the efforts of school officials and active community members prove successful, the stadium will remain dormant until Sept. 1, 2011 – the day that a brand-new artificial turf field makes its community debut.

Coping with grief this holiday season

There is no right or wrong way to handle the holidays. You may wish to follow family traditions, choose to change them, or just do things a little bit differently.

HOPE for Bereaved, of 4500 Onondaga Boulevard, Syracuse, offers the following advice to those grieving the loss of a loved one during the holiday season.

3 Plan ahead: Sit down with you loved ones and talk about what each wants to do for the holidays. Let relatives and friends know your decisions.

3 Shopping: Shop by catalog, phone or internet.

Shop with a friend or ask someone to shop for you.

Give gift certificates. Give a donation to a worthy cause in the name of the person who you would give a gift to.

3 Be careful of “shoulds”; do what is most helpful and important to you. Try to put balance in your life; get adequate rest, eat well, build in time to exercise, take a walk, pray, read and relax.

3 Holiday activities: Consider cutting back on baking (buy baked goods or do without), decorating, (use fewer decorations or ask family or friends to decorate, cleaning (top clean, it is not necessary to scrub), cards (send less or not at all).

3 Holiday dinner: You may wish to stay busy fixing a big meal, but consider making some changes.

Serving buffet style, eating at a different time or eating in a different room may help. You might consider going to another’s home for dinner.

3 Religious services: Attend at a different time or place. Turn to your faith – try to concentrate on the meaning of the season.

3 Express feelings Don’t push down tears. Build in a time to cry. Keep a journal.

3 Ask for and accept help: Share your concerns, feelings, and apprehensions with an understanding friend. Plan special times with people with whom you are comfortable.

3 Help others: Volunteer at a soup kitchen, visit the lonely and shut-ins. Invite someone who is alone to share the day with you. Provide food/gifts for the needy.

From the mailbag Captain, soldiers thank you for support

To the editor: In September, community members came into the Manlius Library to generously donate books and DVDs for the soldiers of Camp Spann, Afghanistan. Everyone seemed to appreciate having the opportunity to show their support for the soldiers so far from home and serving our country. The variety and quality of the items were outstanding and money was also donated to defray shipping costs. In total, six large boxes containing 275 books and 130 DVDs arrived at Camp Spann.

Just recently, a letter arrived addressed to the Manlius Library and its patrons, from Captain Hagis in Camp Spann. In the letter, Captain Hagis writes, “Thanks for your support of our efforts here in Afghanistan. Your actions in giving speak so much louder than words.”

The card was signed by Captain Hagis and many of the soldiers.

To everyone who showed their support for the soldiers through your donations, we at the Manlius Library wanted you to know what your actions meant to those people whose actions ultimately mean so much to us.

Community comes together to honor soldier To the editor: Chittenango is a wonderful and proud community.

Classmates raise thousands for Klim Center

By Tami S. Zimmerman tzimmerman@cnylink.com High school classmates of the late Judge David Klim raised $4,500 toward a DeWitt center in his name.

The Nottingham Class of 1970, which celebrated its 40th reunion in October, collected money for both its alma mater and the David G. Klim Center located on Caton Drive at the Springfield Garden Apartments. The center, run by the community enrichment program People in Action, provides preschool and afterschool tutoring, art education and computer classes. It also offers programs in adult literacy, GED preparation and job candidate coaching.

“It makes me feel so good,” said Klim’s widow Barbara about the outpouring of generosity.

The reunion committee initially raised $3,800 to split between the two entities, but then people on their own began to write separate checks just for the Klim

Center. Another $2,500 was raised.

“It was totally organic,” said Debbie Politis, classmate and committee member.

Klim was voted the most friendliest during their high school years and is remembered as being considerate and gracious.

“We [wanted] to celebrate each other,” Politis said. “And that especially meant people like David who we so looked up to.”

Klim and several other students lived at Springfield Gardens at one point or another while attending law school. The neighborhood became Section 8 housing years later. After graduation, Klim began his longtime career as an Onondaga County Family Court judge. He died in 2006.

The money raised by his classmates has so far been earmarked for the expansion of a community garden that about 50 families at Springfield Gardens use right now.

Thursday Dec. 9 in the Manlius Library’s Community Room, Rothschild will discuss his extensive and unique collection of patent models and his plans to establish a national Patent Model Museum.

Rothschild is the curator of the Rothschild Petersen Patent Model Museum, the largest privately-owned viewable collection of United States Patent Models in the world. The Cazenovia-based museum contains nearly 4,000 patent models and related documents spanning the American Industrial Revolution. The museum was established in 1998.

Again in the spring of that year, the boys and girls lacrosse teams were forced to practice in parking lots and gymnasiums well into the season and play “home� games as far away as Central Square.

Then in October of ’09, after the Homecoming football game against Henninger in which heavy rains turned the current F-M grass field into mud, no one played on it again until May of this year – a span of seven months. As a result, teams in the fall and spring had to, as in years past, board buses for evening practices on rented-out turf fields elsewhere.

According to the monthly newsletter F-M sent out in November, the district spent an average of $15,000 a year for such bus transportation and venue rental. The newsletter also said the new field would save the district from having to spend $328,000 to repair the current grass field within the stadium.

Meanwhile, the FMCSFA sent out letters to all 9,800 households in the school district, and has also built up a database of 2,800 alumni to ask for donations. FMCSFA board co-chairman Kevin Hanlon said donations are arriving from places as far away as Texas and California.

One of those alums working to drum up support is Jeff Izant, a 2004 graduate who played lacrosse at F-M and Princeton and is now a student at Columbia University’s law school. He said that the initial contacts he has made with fellow F-M grads have gone well. “Everyone I have talked to has been interested in contributing, from a financial or a time perspective,� said Izant.

Also, FMCSFA has put up a web site, fmfield.com, which features a seven-minute video of F-M athletes explaining why the turf field would be so important to the school and community.

Roy said that, for current and former athletes, the project is a “legacy contribution�, a chance for them to give back to their alma mater. The next few months will determine the extent to which their efforts will pay off – and whether F-M will have a new field to call home next fall.

Conway added.

The sheriff ’s department can provide a K-9 unit or helicopter upon request.

DeWitt has a population of about 24,000 and borders the city of Syracuse. It is the third largest police department

behind the Onondaga County Sheriff ’s Department and the Syracuse Police Department.

While eliminating the local police department is being considered in many local municipalities as a cost-saving measure, this is not the case in DeWitt. Conway argued the timing to cut back on law enforcement services is poor pointing to recent trends.Although the increase in percentage of crimes won’t be available until year’s end, within the last month the town of DeWitt is already 3,000 calls ahead of where it was at this time last year. As far as funding goes,

the department costs less to operate than either the DeWitt and Jamesville fire departments. “If you want to look at just dollars and cents, I think we make a very good argument that we’re providing the best service at the lowest possible cost,� Conway added. “If you want to look at the issue of safety, then I really think we make a strong case as to being equipped to respond and giving more of that personal attention to a case in DeWitt than if you were to merge with a larger department.�

The auction came about after a trip to Plains, Georgia—home of the 39th president—for Cook’s birthday in 2006. “We fell in love with the small town, and have gone back once or twice each year ever since,� said Cook, a presidential history buff.

During their yearly trip this March, the Cooks were invited to a dinner party hosted by the President and Rosalynn Carter. “They came to us to ask our professional opinion on how to go about doing an auction,� said Cook. The auction was to benefit the Plains Better Hometown Program, which was started by the Carters, and is meant to help preserve the history of Plains, GA.

“It was out of the blue, but he was very interested in what we had to say,� Cook said. “Before we knew it, calls started coming in from Carter’s office to plan the event. “ The name, “Plains Helping Plains� stemmed from the shared town name in PA and GA. Cook said he suggested the name, and the Carters loved the idea. Cook also suggested the auction be held in PA, and “the idea just rapidly took off.�

All of the approximately 150 items up for auction have been donated exclusively by President and Mrs. Carter.

Items include signed books written by President Carter, rare campaign memorabilia from Carter’s presidential and gubernatorial campaigns, purses, dresses and shoes worn by Mrs. Carter, President Carter’s golf putter, paintings by President Carter, a plate from their personal

China set, and a Rosalynn Carter porcelain doll from when she was first lady, to name just a few. 99 percent of the items have been signed by the president, Mrs. Carter or both. Three events will also be auctioned, including a group tour of the Carter Center in Atlanta, GA, guided by President Carter; a barbeque with the Carters; and a luncheon at the Carter Center with the Carters. “This is going to be the farthest thing from a normal auction that we have ever done,� Cook said with a laugh.

A “normal� auction is advertised locally, and people can just show up. Cook and Cook Auctions hosts about three auctions a month.

Because this auction will draw a larger crowd than normal, Cook said they are planning on handing out tickets to enter the facility,

F-M teams sweep cross country regionals

By Phil Blackwell pblackwell@cnylink.com Both of the Fayetteville-Manlius cross country teams have earned berths at this Saturdayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Nike Nationals in Portland, Ore. The Hornets pulled this off by sweeping last Saturdayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s New York and Northeast Nike Cross Country Regionals, held at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls.

Competing as Manlius XC, the boys Hornets avenged its defeat in the state championship meet to Shaker two weeks earlier at Lakeside Park in Pawling, earning 45 points to

top Shakerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s total of 59 points.

Two seniors, Mark McGurrin and Andrew Roache, joined sophomore Nick Ryan in leading F-Mâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s winning effort as they each secured top-10 finishes.

McGurrin covered the 5,000-meter Bowdoin Park coursse in 16 minutes, 9 seconds, that put him in fourth place, not far from Sam Placeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s winning time of 15:54.5, and was best among team runners in the event.

Just behind McGurrin, Ryan secured fifth place in 16:14.9, while Roache also ran well, claiming ninth place in 16:22.8.

worked his way to 28th place (16th among team runners) in a clocking of 16:54.2. Junior Ben Thomas, by finishing 39th (21st team) in 17:04.9, clinched the team title as senior Eric Billinson got 42nd place (17:05.7) and junior Jules Wellner was 57th in 17:15.1.

When it was the girls turn at Bowdoin Park, F-M, the nationâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s top-ranked team, continued to flatten the competition as, under the Manlius XC banner, it earned 27 points to beat Saratoga Springs (73 points) for the top spot.

North Shore, East Aurora and Burnt Hills rounded out the top five.

Sophomore Jillian Fanning proved the fastest runner in the field, as she tore through the course in 18 minutes flat, beating Brittany Winslow by 5.2 seconds.

Just behind them, junior Katie Sischo was third in 18:18.1 and fellow junior Christie Rutledge, fresh off winning the state individual title on Nov. 13, got fifth place in 18:18.1. Yet another F-M junior, Heather Martin, was seventh in 18:33.7.

That surge all but clinched the meet, as senior Courtney Chapman worked her way to 17th place in 19:07.9. Sophomore Katie Brislin took 27th place in 19:31.8, with junior Emily McGurrin getting to 36th place in 19:50.7.

Now the entire F-M program makes its way west to Portland, site of so many triumphs in recent years. The girls Hornets are trying to win its fifth straight national championship, while the F-M boys want to move up from a ninth-place finish last year.

By the margin of less than a second, the Christian Brothers Academy girls swim teamâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s 200-yard medley relay team missed a shot at a state championship.

Still, the Brothers, both on a team and individual basis, had a strong showing during the Nov. 1920 state meet, held at Buffaloâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Erie Community College.

In qualifying, CBAâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s quartet of Summer Schmitt, Lexy McCauley, Lauren Fletcher and Kathryn Coughlin tied Connequot (Section XI) for the low qualifying time of 1:47.64.

Then, in the finals, the Brothers improved to 1:47.11, but finished just behind Connetquot, who won in 1:41.63. Both teams earned All-American honors with those times.

Schmitt, on her own, earned a medal in the 100 butterfly, as she blazed

her way to a third-place time of 56.75 seconds.

Courtney Otto (West Seneca West) won in 55.43 seconds. Schmitt also got sixth in the 100 backstroke in 58.35 seconds and helped Fletcher, McCauley and Ruthie Speidel get third in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:38.32.

Coughlin got her chance to shine in the 100 breaststroke, and worked her way to fifth in a clocking of 1:05.34 to earn All-American consideration. Brooklyn Techâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Annie Zsu won in 1:02.74 as FayettevilleManliusâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Melissa James (1:09.37) finished 23rd.

Fletcher was 11th in the 100 freestyle in 53.34 seconds and was 15th in the 200 freestyle in 1:58.27.

Speidel was 16 th in the 500 freestyle in 5:10.37 and helped Lexy McCauley, Zoe McCauley and Destiney Cerlanek post a time of 1:44.80 in the 200 freestyle relay.

Everything the Jamesville-DeWitt boys soccer team experienced this month was new and exciting - including the program’s first Section III and regional Class A championships.

Only the Red Rams’ inaugural trip to the state final four proved disappointing, as it fell to Section V champion Pittsford Mendon 3-0 in Saturday’s state Class A semifinal at Middletown High School’s Faller Field.

Mendon carried into the game a major advantage of experience, having played in the final four one year ago in Oneonta. This was all new to J-D, but at least in the initial phases, it wasn’t too phased.

J-D had a strong first half, carrying the attack for portions of the game and not letting Mendon get too comfortable. At the same time, though, the Rams could not finish off those chances, leaving the game 0-0 going into halftime.

And it stayed scoreless until the 54th minute, when a single outburst gave Mendon all the margin it needed.

When Andrew Smith’s shot eluded Zack Tanner and found the net, Mendon grabbed a 1-0 lead. Before J-D could regroup, just 1:47 later Smith attacked again, this time finding Andrew Otisco for the goal that doubled Mendon’s margin.

As if that were not enough, Ben Todd added another goal in the 62nd minute, meaning that Mendon’s three tallies came just eight minutes apart.

The Rams could not recover as its most successful season concluded with an 18-2-1 mark. J-D will see 10 seniors depart, including standouts like Tanner, Zander El-Hindi,

Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music will present music fit for a king when the Aulos Ensemble performs “Music at Versailles: A Royal Entertainment” at 8 p.m. Saturday Dec. 4 at Lincoln Middle School, 1613 James St., Syracuse For more than three decades, the Aulos Ensemble’s many recordings have helped create a new enthusiasm for the joys of hearing Handel, Vivaldi and their contemporaries performed on authentic Baroque instruments. Among these are Handel’s “Water Music” and the Aulos’ Christmas hit CD, “A Baroque Christmas from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.” Formed in 1973 by five Juilliard graduates, the Aulos Ensemble prides itself on scholarly insight into performance practices of the time, but even more on exhilarating performances that make this music forever fresh. The present make-up of the ensemble has remained constant for the past 15 years, with musicians Christopher Krueger, flauto traverso; Marc Schachman, baroque oboe; Linda Quan, baroque violin; Myron Lutzke, baroque violoncello; and Arthur Haas, harpsichord.

The concert on Dec. 4 will include music from the Aulos’ most recent recording, released in 2008, which

Champagne Punch Serves 10 6 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice 4 ounce simple syrup (see below) 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice 2 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice 6 ounces white rum 6 ounces dark rum 1 25 fluid ounce bottle of champagne Orange, lime and lemon slice for garnish Ice (in block form of possible; if not, large chunks) 1. Add the ice to a large punch bowl. If using chunks (as opposed to a large block of ice), fill the bowl just under halfway.

2. Add the orange juice, simple syrup, lime juice, and lemon juice. With a large spoon or ladle, stir 10 times.

3. Add the light and dark rums. Stir 10 more times.

4. Add the champagne, but not too quickly. Enjoy the moment. Add a goodly amount of orange, lime and lemon slices.

Stir, but only once.

5. Ladle into punch glasses or festive goblets. Try to ensure that every guest gets a slice of fruit and a smile.

Simple Syrup Makes 41/2 cups 21/2 cups water 3 cups sugar 1. Add the water and sugar to a medium-size saucepan.

Stirring occasionally, bring the mixture to a boil over mediumhigh heat. Lower the heat a bit, keeping the mixture at a low boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Turn off the heat, and let the syrup cool completely in the pan. Store in a clean, airtight container in the refrigerator.

‘Winter blues’ might be something more serious The arrival of the New Year brings with it many things besides just a turn of the calendar. A time for reflection, resolutions and looking forward, the New Year represents a clean slate, one many will welcome after a rather tumultuous 2009.

Another image the New Year invokes is that of winter weather, replete with its short days and snowstorms. While the official arrival of winter is 10 days before the turn of the calendar, for many the unofficial start of the coldest season is when the holiday season ends and the new calendar year begins.

Though winter has its afficionados, for many people winter can be a difficult time of year, one characterized by feelings of depression and indifference. For those who find themselves with those feelings each year, the cause could be a condition known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), which most commonly begins to occur during late fall, extending into the winter months. In fact, many simply assume the symptoms of SAD are the “winter blues,” a common misconception that could be masking a larger issue. However, understanding and recognizing SAD could be the first step for those looking to have a more enjoyable winter.

Resolve to be involved

Decide how you will deal with the temptation to backslide.

This could include calling a friend for support, taking a walk around the block or simply thinking positively. Start your plan during the first few days of January to harness your motivation. Don’t expect overnight miracles.

Resolutions are accomplished with a hundred tiny steps that happen throughout the year. You should think of a New Year’s resolution as nothing more than a starting point and that developing positive habits will keep your plan moving forward.

Talk about it Tell friends and family members who will be there to support your resolve to change yourself for the better. The best-case scenario is to find a friend or family member

As 2010 comes to a close, and the confetti and streamers are swept up, the hangovers are medicated and the calendars are thrown away, many Central New Yorkers will look ahead to 2011 and make a resolution.

That resolution may be something tangible, like quitting smoking, getting more organized or losing weight.

Or it might go deeper, like being kinder, making new friends or taking up a new hobby.

If you are looking for a way to improve your life and the lives of those around you, why not resolve to become involved in your community?

Volunteer at or donate to a local organization, whether it be one that helps people in crisis, such as Vera House or the Rescue Mission, or one which helps children or the needy, such as Meals on Wheels, the local food pantry or a hospital’s pediatric ward. Or become a mentor or a Big Brother/Big Sister to a child who could use a helping hand or someone to look up to, someone to lend support when needed.

Become involved in the government which shapes our towns and villages. Attend local board meetings or volunteer for civic organizations or municipal committees. Reach out to your neighbors, perhaps by starting a homeowners’ group, a neighborhood watch or something as simple as a local book, pitch or bridge club.

Giving of yourself by getting involved in your community is a way to keep the holiday cheer going throughout the year.

What are the Symptoms of SAD? Symptoms of SAD often start out mildly and become more severe as the season progresses. Those symptoms can include: * Feelings of sadness * Anxiety * Withdrawal from social activities and situations * Loss of interest in usual activities * Feelings of hopelessness * Oversleeping * Weight gain * Difficulty concentrating * Craving of carbohydrates, such as bread and pasta While SAD is most common in late fall and early winter, it can also occur in spring and summer. This is called summer-onset seasonal affective disorder. Symptoms of this type of SAD are, in some cases, the opposite of winter seasonal affective disorder. * Irritability * Insomnia * Weight loss * Poor appetite What Causes SAD? It is still uncertain as to the specific causes of SAD. Experts, however, have theorized that lack of sunlight might be a contributing factor.

A reduction in sunlight can cause a drop in serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain that influences mood,

appetite, sleep, and a host of other behaviors. An imbalance in serotonin is believed to influence mood in a way that leads to depression.

That lends credence to the theory that a lack of sunlight and its subsequent depletion of serotonin could be a cause of SAD. Changes in season can also disrupt the balance of melatonin, a natural hormone that plays a role in sleep patterns and mood.

What are Risk Factors for SAD? According to the Mayo Clinic, there are a handful of factors that may increase a person’s risk of SAD. Those include, but are not limited to: * Gender. Studies have shown that SAD is more commonly diagnosed among women than men. However, the same research has indicated that men often have more severe symptoms. * Geography. Where a person lives is also a risk factor for SAD. The further a person lives from the equator, be it north or south, the higher the risk factor for developing SAD. That’s likely due to the harsh decrease in sunlight during the winter months in areas far from the equator. * Family history. In general, depression tends to run in families. Because SAD is a type of depression, family history can also be a risk factor.

Are Treatment Options Available?

First and foremost, persons suspecting they or a loved one are suffering from SAD should consult a physician and get a diagnosis.

Those who are diagnosed with SAD do have treatment options available to them, including light therapy and medications.

Hematology Oncology Associates (HOA) offers our patients a wide variety of treatments. These range from standard of care treatments, which have been proven effective, to a variety of clinical trials in which investigational medications are given with or compared to a standard of care to aid in the discovery of future cancer therapies.

Currently, we are accruing patients to over 80 different studies primarily through research administered by the National Cancer Institute. For over 24 years, HOA has been the recipient of a grant called the Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) that aims to provide cutting edge research opportunities to communities throughout the nation. To compliment what is available through CCOP, we also participate in a few studies with pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, we have authored and initiated several studies ourselves. Our participation and initiative in oncology research has garnered national attention and several awards for excellence.

NIAGARA MOHAWK POWER CORPORATION d/b/a NATIONAL GRID PURPOSE: TO AMEND SCHEDUCLE PSC NO 219 GAS TO IMPLEMENT TENNESSEE GAS PIPELINE COMPANY REFUND TEXT: Notice is hereby given that the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid, has filed with the Public Service Commission proposed gas tariff amendments to its PSC No. 219 Gas Schedule to provide for the implementation of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company refund related to PCB clean up costs. This refund will be credited to firm sales customers served under Service Classification Nos. 1, 2, 3, 12, 13 and firm transportation customers served under Service Classification Nos. 1MB, 2MB, 5, 7, 8, 12MB, and 13MB via the Delivery Service Adjustment.
