Carpinteria Boys & Girls CluB
The Carpinteria Boys & Girls Club has teamed up with Carpinteria Beautiful to clear litter from the bike path that runs along Franklin Creek by the club. The students regularly pick up trash and maintain the cleanliness of the trail. On Earth Day, the group discussed long-term effects of keeping their environment clean. “The only way for the kids to understand their impact on the planet was to physically see how an afternoon of work can make a difference,” reported Alexa Gaddis, the club’s programs director. Above, members of Carpinteria Boys & Girls Club work with staff member David Acosta to keep the bike path clean.
