Leap of faith

After a sprint down the runway, senior Daniel Burquez propels himself toward a win in the long jump at the Rincon Races hosted by Carpinteria High School last weekend. Burquez’s 20 foot, 10 inch leap earned him that gold medal, but in even bigger news, the finely tuned athlete also broke the Warrior and meet records with a triple jump of 43 feet, 7.75 inches.
