Slow bike race champ crowned

Jump for joy

Sofia Gerli with Destined Dance Santa Barbara leaps with excitement for Open Streets Carpinteria, an April 1 event that closed one mile of downtown roadways to cars and opened it to walkers, bikers, dancers, skaters and any other –ers that didn’t involve motors. Organized by Traffic Solutions, Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition and Global Good Impact, the $25,000 to $30,000 event was paid for mainly with Measure A funds.
