Mikayla Blair tags one of two Malibu players caught out on a double play during the Warriors’ 13-0 softball victory on May 9. Blair, a junior, has played on the varsity squad her whole high school career, racking up impressive stats in batting (.344) and fielding (with a .936 percentage). Mikayla’s twin sister, Amanda, pitched the first three innings of the game. Carpinteria High’s softball team is having a very solid year with a record of 17-6 and 7-2 in league, finishing second in their league and looking to finish out the season in the playoffs.
