Cobalt Aquarium Salt helps fish “slime up” and replenishes natural electrolytes that can be easily lost when fish are stressed. If the tank water quality is not ideal and nitrite is present, the use of Cobalt Aquarium salt will temporarily block the toxic effects of nitrite to the fish until the water quality can be improved.
