THE VALUE OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP
LOWEST RATES IN THE STATE
For two consecutive years, Cobb EMC has held the title of Georgia’s #1 lowest rates in the state among all 94 electric utilities, according to the Georgia Public Service Commission 2023 Summer and 2024 Winter Residential Rate Survey.
In July, we gave back $5.8 million to our members through a Wholesale Power Adjustment (WPA) credit. Since 2013, we have returned $61 million back to members through WPA credits, as well as $43.9 million in capital credits since 2021. Plus, our partnership with Gas South helps keep Cobb EMC strong by returning its profits to Cobb EMC, which helps keep electric rates low and reliability solid.
NATIONALLY RANKED RELIABILITY
We’re focused on delivering reliable service to you, our members. We have a resilient energy grid, and we’re working every day to improve and maintain our infrastructure to provide perfect power.
Cobb EMC is ranked #1 nationally for delivering reliable power and restoring outages quickly, according to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ 2023 benchmark year study results.
NEIGHBORLY COMMUNITY EFFORTS
As a member-owned cooperative, we don’t just serve the community, we’re part of it. Since 2014, Cobb EMC together with the Cobb EMC Foundation, has awarded $945,550 to 302 students in our community to support our future leaders and their educational goals.
Since 2013, the Cobb EMC Foundation has given more than $9.1 million to nonprofits right here in our community, thanks to the generous donations of Cobb EMC members who round up their bill each month.
