SPREADING JOY FOR MEMBERS THROUGH COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

We’ve teamed up with Cobb EMC members who will compete for your vote for the best light display. We invite you and your family to experience the joy of the holiday season and the spirit of giving by visiting all of the homes and voting in our award-winning holiday lights initiative.

Beginning December 1 and through December 25, we’ll post each of the houses on our Facebook page and ask you to vote for your favorite light display by giving it a “like”. The top three homes with the most “likes” will each receive a $500 donation from Cobb EMC to the nonprofit of their choosing.

SHARE TO WIN: To visit all the houses, follow the map located on the back of this page. Share your holiday lights photos on social media using the hashtag #CobbEMCLights for the chance to win a holiday gift basket. cobbemc.com/Holiday

HOLIDAY BILL CREDIT

We’re giving $4.4 million back to our members through a Wholesale Power Adjustment (WPA) credit. Look for WPA under current charges in your December bill* to find your credit, which is determined by your individual usage. cobbemc.com/WorkingForYou

We’re highlighting some of the impact we’ve made together in 2024. Cobb EMC works to make a difference in the communities we serve.

Bringing Power to Communities in Need: In 2024, we provided mutual aid assistance to five co-ops in need after devastating weather events in our region.

Diapers for Children in Need: Our team and members of the community helped to collect more than 50,000 diapers for Cobb Diaper Day. The diapers are donated to local organizations that serve families and children in need.

New Coats for Children: Cobb EMC employees and members of the community collected and distributed more than 1,200 brand new coats to local children in need within the Cobb County and Marietta City School Systems. Encouraging Students’ Love for Reading: Cobb EMC and Gas South supported the Literacy Week program in schools throughout Cobb, Paulding, Cherokee, Bartow and Fulton counties. This year, the program impacted more than 15,000 students.

Christmas Gifts for Children: Cobb EMC employees collected gift cards for teenagers and wish list gifts for Title 1 school-aged children.

Shop with a Lineman: Cobb EMC linemen celebrated the holidays by supporting 20 foster families with Christmas presents.

Mini-Grants for Teachers: In 2024, Cobb EMC awarded $28,000 in mini-grants to 61 teachers, providing them with resources to enhance their classroom experiences.

Sponsoring STEM education: Cobb EMC and Gas South sponsored the Cobb County and Cherokee County Science Olympiads, including the Regional Science & Engineering Fair.
