FROM THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE community
Our Mission
To carefully assess the financial requests of charitable organizations, and to apply our collective wisdom to the allocation of available funds for the broadest benefit of the community and the members we serve.
Funds administered through the Cobb EMC Foundation remain local to help benefit members within Cobb EMC’s five-county service area.

Small change can make big change when neighbors work together. That’s the foundation of Operation Round Up, a program that supports local nonprofits. Cobb EMC members participate in Operation Round Up by rounding up their bills each month. These contributions support the Cobb EMC Foundation, which grants funds to nonprofits serving members in our community. In 2022, thanks to your generosity, the Cobb EMC Foundation has poured thousands of dollars into our community. We couldn’t do it without you.

FUNDING A BRIGHTER future
Since 2013 the Cobb EMC Foundation has supported those in need throughout Cobb EMC’s five-county service area of Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Fulton, and Paulding counties. The Foundation has given more than $7.5 million since 2013 to local nonprofits with outreach programs that impact these five counties.
We don’t do all of this alone. The Cobb EMC Foundation is supported by Cobb EMC members who choose to round up their bills to the nearest dollar through Operation Round Up. The average estimated annual giving is only $6 per member account, but the most anyone can give each month is 99 cents –or a maximum of $11.88 each year.
The impact of a few people rounding up is astronomical … we’ve had 20 kids graduate … many of which probably would not have made it to graduation without the support you offer.
—Evan Ingram Goshen Valley, director of developmentDonations from more than 171,768 participating members from Cobb EMC’s 193,274 member base add up quickly. In 2022, Cobb EMC members gave $902,800 to 182 charities with programs that benefit the five counties Cobb EMC serves. The work these organizations do in health and human services, education, public safety, housing, shelter, and more enhances quality-of-life for the community as a whole.
The Cobb EMC Foundation is managed by members who volunteer their time to support those in need. The volunteer board meets monthly to discuss grant requests.
The Foundation has awarded $565,000 in scholarships, helpingI want to thank Cobb EMC for all your support in the past. Your support will help the Tommy Nobis Center remain one of the cornerstones of opportunity for individuals with disabilities in our community.
