3250 Series Spectrum Analysers

Outstanding performance, exceptional price and innovative design

Compact ergonomic design

Ideally suited for RF development, design analysis and testing

“providing accomplished

accuracy, stability and measurement speed.

The 3250 Series is a range of RF and microwave spectrum analyzers covering frequencies from 1 kHz to 26.5 GHz. With an excellent price/performance ratio, the 3250 Series employs the latest digital signal processing and RF technology, providing accomplished accuracy, stability and measurement speed.

Helping engineers in R&D, manufacturing and service optimise designs, improve throughput and identify problems quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. All models use a Windows® operating system with a 7” touch panel screen complementing the traditional keyboard and rotary control. With remote control via LAN, GPIB and RS-232C using SCPI commands, ease of use and connectivity is ensured.

The 3250 Series is four instruments in one – - Spectrum analyzer - Phase noise analyzer - EMC analyzer - Vector analyzer Whether it be measuring intermodulation products or EVM, spurious emissions or FM deviation, adjacent channel leakage ratio or frequency response the 3250 Series has all your requirements covered.

The 3250 Series has all your requirements covered

Features

• Powerful RF performance, • Vector analyser with 30 MHz I/Q demodulation bandwidth • Phase noise analyser • EMC pre-compliance Measurement applications While the 3250 Series excels as a generic spectrum analyser, it also includes many applications for common measurements.

These include: Multi-channel power, adjacent channel power, total harmonic distortion, third order intermodulation, spurious emissions, filter bandwidth/ shape factor and many more. Each measurement may be configured to suit the application then simply run with the push of a button.

The excellent phase and floor noise of the 3250 Series lends itself to the measurement of phase noise of oscillators. Phase noise measurement This mode turns the 3250 Series into a phase noise analyser where it is possible to measure offsets over one or more decades from 10 Hz offset.

“Performance far beyond the price tag”

EMC pre-compliance An EMC option provides a range of detectors and filters suited for precompliance testing. Full configuration of sweep speed, step size and filter bandwidth enable the measurement performance to be optimised for each band. Cable and antenna correction factors may be entered and limit lines added for clear pass/fail indication.

Tracking generators Each 3250 Series may be configured with a 3 GHz or 8 GHz tracking generator for simple scalar analysis and filter characterisation. Vector analysis The 30 MHz bandwidth digitizer with 14-bit ADC may be used to perform standard FFT, spectrogram and digital modulation analysis of PSK and QAM signals along with optional measurement suites for WLAN, GSM/EDGE, UMTS and WiMAX.

Application summary • Transmitter measurements – Harmonics; sub-harmonics; spurious; frequency response; adjacent channel power; bandwidth; EVM; frequency error; phase error

• Parametric test of RF components and sub-assemblies; amplifiers; mixers; filters • Oscillator quality • Interference • EMC pre-compliance
