Prezi: Improving Presentations, page 7 with Adam Woodrow Add pizazz to your visual presentations. Prezi is a webbased presentation application and storytelling tool that uses a single, infinite canvas instead of traditional slides. You will be shown the basics of how to create non-linear presentations, zoom in and out of a visual map, create a path through different objects, add 3D backgrounds, add frames to represent the order of the information presented and publish your Prezi.

Discovering Lightning Ridge Cellars, page 15 with Ann Roncone Submerge yourself in the Lightning Ridge Cellars Vineyard, a small family winery in Elgin established in 2005. Ann Roncone, Lightning Ridge’s winemaker, will lead an informative stroll along the harvest ready vine rows. Witness the fermentation processing of the grapes and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting in the unique barrel room. You will need to wear comfortable, closed toe shoes for the vineyard tour.

Arts and Crafts Pit Fire Pottery Studio with Jennifer Hollingshead Discover the art of hand-built pottery and participate in one of Cochise College's premier events, all in one amazing class. In this four-part class, you can learn to make coil or pinch pots, then place all your work in the Pit Fire on Oct. 24. The intense heat of the Pit Fire creates dynamic colors and unique reactions that only natural firing can produce. After the Pit Fire event, you will return to class to polish and finish your pieces. Beginning Quilling with Doris Veach Quilling is a Victorian art form now making a comeback. Also known as paper filigree, quilling is the art of rolling and gluing thin strips of paper into different shapes for decorative purposes. The strips are used to create three-dimensional designs to adorn cards, invitations and scrapbook pages. It's an ideal craft for beginners as well as experienced craft-workers because the technique is very simple but the decorative element can be satisfyingly complex. Spin Your Wheels with Lynne Morrow Put your minds and wheels to spinning so you can learn all about turning wool fiber into one-of-a-kind yarns. You will begin with a drop spindle and move on to a spinning NEW wheel. Together we can learn how to operate a spinning wheel, ply yarn, spin different types of wool and other materials, and spin novelty yarns. Bring a drop spindle, wheel, and wool roving then be prepared to have lots of fun! A limited number of drop spindles and wheels will be available for class – reserve tools with staff at the time of registration. You must bring one pound of wool roving to class. Wellness Yoga with Macaela with Macaela Cashman As you may know, yoga means “yoke” or union, finding balance, joining together body, mind and spirit. Despite preconceptions, you do not need to be flexible to do yoga. NEW You can reap benefits no matter where you start. This class is meant to be enjoyable and offers a way of reducing stress.
