A voluntary group run and supported by locals xx We’re also on Facebook ‘The Bidford Warm Hub’ Avon Almanac following the amazingly successful launch of this publication in March it is now available from the Village Cafe in Bidford-on-Avon and Hillers in Dunnington. A vivid evocation of a local’s childhood in the 1920s set across the seasons and around the ‘walks to school’ of three children from outlying parts of Bidford, the book takes us back to a bygone era when agriculture was the dominant activity, the village shops catered for virtually all daily needs and cars were a rarity.
