Stratford-upon-Avon Ramblers is a friendly and active walking group with an extensive walks programme offering something to suit everyone. We welcome new members and visitors to join us on a walk. Walks take place from 10.00 am every Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday ranging from shorter walks on a Tuesday (usually two walks ranging from 3 to 6 miles) and 8-10 miles on other days. Stratford and Henley Classic Car Club. We are a Free to join, friendly classic car club for owners and enthusiast alike. Warwickshire Stitchers is a friendly group of enthusiastic embroiderers and textile artists. We welcome all new members – beginners, experienced stitchers or anyone taking up embroidery again after an absence. We love to share our skills and learn from each other. We meet most months on the first Friday for talks and the first Saturday for workshops and members’ days. In 2023-24 meetings will continue to be a mix of face-to-face and Zoom. Fosseway Chamber Orchestra Do you play a musical instrument? Would you love to play with others and improve your mental and physical well being at the same time? We meet every Tuesday morning 9.45 to 12.00 in Stretton on Fosse Village Hall GL56 9QX, playing a wide variety of music. Players are mostly grade 4-7 but we welcome anyone who can play four reliable notes. Did you learn to play a musical instrument at school or have you started later in life and would like to play with others in a friendly unpressurised environment? We are always keen to welcome new players. String players especially welcome. We are part of Shipston u3a and think we may be the only u3a branch with an orchestra. Join us as a Volunteer Driver - Back & 4th Community Transport, based near Wellesbourne, are recruiting more volunteer minibus drivers. Back & 4th Community Transport provide a minibus and friendly volunteer driver for community or voluntary groups across South Warwickshire to go to meetings, events or interesting places. Why? Our friendly volunteers say: “You meet interesting people and go to interesting places” and also “It feels good to give something back!” How? The Friendship Project for Children We recruit volunteers to take out local children in need of support for friendship and fun. Stratford Vision Support Centre is for everyone living with any degree of sight loss – you do not need to be registered. We have activities, social sessions, speakers and equipment demonstrations. Running every Tuesday morning at Tyler House, Tyler Street from 9.30am til 11.30am with staff available to advise or refer you into other services offered by the charity such as technology and magnifier appointments and our rehabilitation team.
