1.PLYWOOD Plywood is made by gluing together a number of thin veneers or plies of softwood or hardwood. There are always an odd number of veneers and each ply is at a right angle to the one below, this gives the material its strength. The more veneers used, the stronger the plywood becomes. Both the type of glue and veneers determine the suitability of a sheet for a particular application. Plywood is graded for exterior or interior use depending upon the water resistance of the glue used to stick the plies together. The finish quality of plywood varies considerably, some plywood have attractive grains while others can contain knots. Some can even be faced with film, melamine paper or polyester to meet certain requirements, such as wearable, water-proof, fire-proof, etc. Combining a beautiful natural veneer surface with a durable core, our plywood provides the strength of lumber, but with greater
efficiency and versatility. It can even be shaped or formed for curved applications. That natural versatility is enhanced by Newswan’s vertical integration. 3.MDF & HDF MDF, or medium density fiberboard (HDF stands for high density fiberboard), is a kind of man-made panel made from composite wood. Specifically, MDF is made from wood waste (specifically the fibers) that are glued together using either heat, resin or pressure. MDF is a very versatile building material that can be used in a variety of applications. This includes making cabinets and mouldings. MDF’s characteristics include being smooth and resistance to warping. MDF is a better material compared to other popular materials like particleboard, wood planks or plywood for a number of reasons. First, MDF has a very smooth texture mainly because wood fibers used in making the MDF are also smooth and fine. MDF is also a great material when being
sawed because the cut portion is smooth immediately after being sawed, as opposed to leaving jagged edges when using other materials, for example, planks of wood. MDF can be used just as they are plain, but most of the time will be laminated with Melamine paper, wood veneers or even painted. MDF also has minimal reaction to moisture. This means MDF will not warp or swell when used in environments that have a high humidity. MDF is used for many purposes by contractors and builders. It is used in making various furniture and shelving. It is also used for making laminate flooring, decorative moulds and doors. MDF is also a great material to use when building rooms that need to be insulated from heat or sound.

4.PARTICLEBOARD Particleboard is also called chipboard. It is a composite panel product consisting of cellulosic particles of various sizes that are bonded together with a synthetic resin or binder under heat and pressure. Particle geometry, resin levels, board density and manufacturing processes may be modified to produce products suitable for specific end uses. At the time ofmanufacture, additives can be incorporated to impart specific performance enhancements including greater dimensional stability, increased fire retardancy and moisture resistance.

5.HARDBOARD Hardboard, also called high-density fiberboard (HDF), is a type of fiberboard, which is an engineered wood product. It is similar to particleboard and medium-density fiberboard, but is denser and much stronger and harder because it is made out of exploded wood fibers that have been highly compressed. Consequently, the density of hardboard is usually more than 900KGS/M3. It differs from particleboard in that the bonding of the wood fibers requires no additional materials, although resin is often added. Unlike particleboard, it will not split or crack.

Hardboard is produced in either a wet or dry process. The wet process leaves only one smooth side while the dry processed hardboard is smooth on both sides. Tempered hardboard is hardboard that has been coated with a thin film of linseed oil and then baked; this gives it more water resistance, impact resistance, hardness, rigidity and tensile strength.
Newswan has been engaged in manufacturing hardboard for many years. Our hardboard can be widely used in construction, flooring, furniture, home appliances, automobiles and cabinetry, and is popular among acrylic and oil painters as a painting surface due to its economical price (though it must be coated with gesso or canvas before use). It can also be used as the final layer in many skateboard ramps and the half-pipe.
6.DOOR SKIN Door skin, also called skin door, refers to the outer panel that can be assembled with wooden frames or skeletons to make a door leaf. Normally a pair of door skins are needed to assemble a sheet of door leaf, namely face panel and back panel. According to the material and manufacturing process, door skins can be classified as plywood door skins and HDF door skins. HDF door skins are also called molded door skins. 7.WPC WPC is the acronym of Wood-plastic composite, which stands for a very promising and sustainable green material that is produced for its ability to be durable without containing toxic chemicals. WPCs are usually made of wood fiber/flour and plastic(s). In addition to wood fiber and plastic, WPCs can also contain other lignocellulosic and/or inorganic filler materials. 8.EDGE-GLUED PANEL Edge Glued Panels are used in hobby furniture making or for uses such as table tops, benches and utility chests and wardrobe cabinets.
9. LVL Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is a layered composite of wood veneers and adhesive. Once it is fabricated into billets of various thicknesses and widths, it can be cut at the factory into stock for headers and beams, flanges for prefabricated wood I-joists, or for other specific uses. Veneer thicknesses range from 1.2mm to 6mm and common species are Paulonia, Poplar, Pine and Fir.

10.HPL HPL is theacronym of high pressure laminate. It is considered to be one of the most durable decorative surface materials and is available with special performance properties including chemical, fire and wear resistance. It is produced by saturating multiple layers of kraft paper with phenolic resin. Because phenolic and melamine resins are thermoset plastics, the curing process transforms the resin into plastic by a cross linking process that converts the paper sheets into a single, rigid laminated sheet. Thermosetting creates strong, irreversible bonds that contribute to HPLâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s durability.
HPL is laminated to a panel utilizing a variety of adhesives. Particleboard, MDF, Hardboard or even plywood are the preferred substrate because they provide a stable, durable, consistent and economical foundation. Due to its durability, our HPL is a common choice for horizontal surfaces including flooring, countertops and desktops. It also performs well in horizontal and vertical applications for high traffic settings such as hospitality, office furniture, healthcare, retail casework, commercial interiors and educational facilities.

11.EDGEBANDING TAPE Our PVC edge-banding tapes are manufactured with prime quality PVC raw material through advanced technology. The back of the tape can be pre-glued with hot melt glue or just primed. It can be easily applied with a hot iron, a hot air blower or a handy edge banding machine.
