Academics Through personalized, interactive classes, field-experience opportunities and a required capstone, students at Colby-Sawyer work closely with dedicated faculty members to pursue programs that blend professional preparation with the liberal arts. Students graduate well prepared to take on meaningful careers and pursue ongoing graduate study. Our liberal education program provides students with a broad body of knowledge with depth in their major. Core courses in the arts, historical perspectives, humanities, literature, science and social science teach students to write and communicate clearly, think critically and creatively, navigate quantitative information and analyze and solve problems — skills that are sought by many employers.

Internships & Careers Every student at Colby-Sawyer completes an internship in their field of study, gaining hands-on work experience while making valuable professional connections. Furthermore, our students graduate prepared for the next chapter of their lives. According to our most recent outcomes report, 100% of members of the Class of 2022 who responded to our survey reported being employed or in graduate school within six months of commencement. The Harrington Center for Experiential Learning is an on-campus collaborative that provides academic advising, career-development opportunities and internship support.

Student Life Whether enjoying a sporting event, watching a theater performance or tie-dying t-shirts on the quad in preparation for Mountain Day — a decades-old tradition in which the college closes to hike nearby Mount Kearsarge — Colby-Sawyer students spend their time off making memories together and developing friendships that last a lifetime. Residency guaranteed all four years!
The Lethbridge Lodge Open exclusively to the college community, the Lethbridge Lodge is a unique dining, recreational and study space with 24/7 access. It features the Ponder Great Room, a study loft and Galligan’s Pub, which offers locally sourced pub fare and bar service.
