After a cold winter and year of neutral WFH lounge staples, we’re craving a life outside. For that feeling of renewal, the wardrobe which matches this brief calls for light and bright hues. We present an edit of ROYGBV highlights, modern jolts of colors to accompany an electrified season of freedom and joy. The corals, sunset oranges, sun dried yellows, lime greens, electric blues, grounding darks and inspired metallics reflect on the natural bounty of Ibiza itself. The color palette tells a story of the resort mindset, an idealized period of free spirited escape, for when life pauses and living begins.
Rainbow brights and sun worn beach hues represent the duality of island time, leisurely days and unexpected nights.
Sequin, silk, rayon, lame, and sheer fabrics are often accompanied with eveningwear to reflect the fun, enticing, and luxurious aura that comes with nightlife at the beach. Our forecast is also presented with flowy fabrics with movements such as linen, cotton, poplin, fishnets, and denim for a sunrise to midday look that embodies comfort and tranquility while one explores the sandy beaches. Loose weaves are perfect for cover ups and beach bags as they provide a function with its sturdiness as well as fashion with its unique weave that immediately presents a beachy tone.
Ibiza is a destination known for pioneering unforgettable fun. This attitude influences the mix activity, both day and night, drawing in vacationers. To best reflect this, we’ve spoken to relaxed, oversized shapes and classic swim silhouettes. These are incorporated in a bottoms edit highlighting maxi hemlines in skirts, dresses, and wide leg trousers. In service of day/night duality the apparel boosts a market to dinner appeal. For swim and tops, the bandeau top is a strong offering as a chic, streamlined partner to the silhouette of maxi bottoms. Moreover, a color story of jolted brights empowers in patterns, swim, and accessories.
Our spring/summer 2022 forecast “Open In Ibiza” exemplifies a woman whose environment is everything, and she prefers the island. She thrives in the storied seaside cliffs of Ibiza and it’s bohemian community spirit as we predict that this overdue escapist reality will be a key concept looking forward as we acclimate to a world opening for global travel and leisure. The relaxed resort silhouettes and out of office color and textile stories reflect a growing interest in eco conscious post pandemic holiday. A return to the best of nature requires colors of the island and natural fibers in forever styles with a decidedly fresh fashion point of view.
