ANewYear’sBlessing
(anonymous)
At the sound of the tolling midnight bell a brand new year will begin. Let’s raise our hopes in a confident toast, to the promise it ushers in. May your battles be few, your pleasure many, your wishes and dreams fulfilled. May your confidence stand in the face of loss and give you the strength to rebuild. May peace of heart fill all your days may serenity grace your soul. May tranquil moments bless your life and keep your spirit whole.
2023 Begins with Strategic Partnership
As previously reported, AADEJ signed an agreement with the American College of Dentists. making it a non-geographic section of the ACD. The integration of the two organizations means further coordination of efforts to enhance dentistry and dental journalism. “Since the founding of the American College of Dentists, dental journalism has been very important and we are glad the AADEJ has become a Section of the College,” states Dr. Robert Lamb, ACD President.
Readers of this issue may not realize that AADEJ was chartered nearly a century ago, in 1931, for the purposes of improving communication within the dental profession, elevating the standards of dental journalism and establishing and encouraging responsible editorial policy.
The non-profit ACD, founded in 1920, exists to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism and leadership within the profession. In becoming a section of the ACD, AADEJ will maintain its autonomy to manage its mission and scope of operations. The key advantage will be the ability for both organizations to develop parallel messaging that is consistent and non-contradictory.
